The MBA programme is two years full time programme, divided into four semesters. It is affiliated to Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (AKTU). The MBA program aims to explore new frontiers of knowledge and innovation in academics. The department uses the most sophisticated tools of education like brainstorming, case studies, sensitivity training, round table discussions and various techniques for upgrading the knowledge of students.
We forged industrial alliances with MNC’s which assures high educational standards, up-to-date and forward-thinking curriculum and professional relevance. Students will definitely have a distinct advantage through exposure to corporate standard environment through industry sponsored amenities and expert faculties.
The program lays great emphasis on knowledge assimilation than only imparting it. Towards this it uses a wide variety of pedagogies: lectures, case studies, exercises, structured and unstructured group work, role-plays, simulation, video shows, and field visits etc. The program also lays emphasis on the learning through requirements of library-based self-study, group work, open-ended discussions and real life projects.
The MBA program is comprised of four semesters; duration of each semester is six months. Each semester having eight compulsory papers of 40 sessions each. During this program students take courses in general management and major functional areas, such as finance and accounting, marketing, operations management, information technology, organization behavior, human resources and strategic management. They are also exposed to the basic disciplines of economics, business law, business statistics & research methodology and decision sciences. These core courses enhance the ability to communicate, analyze situations and take decisions using quantitative and qualitative factors, and to develop a holistic view of the different functional areas and the business environment.
Institute puts a lot of emphasis on industry institute interaction in its MBA program. In addition to the eight weeks internship program in the industry, the students are also sought by the corporate for their short term projects. Regular visits to factories are undertaken to get better understanding of various sectors. Further, participation in seminars with apex bodies such as ICICI, HDFC, GODREJ, DABUR and PARLE as well as inviting experts to the campus for knowledge sharing sessions is an integral part of curriculum.
At the end of the second semester, the students go for an industry internship or summer training with an organization. For summer internship and placement purposes institute has separate training and placement cell which is very vibrant and is instrumental in providing jobs to our students and arranging their summer training. The internship usually spans over 6 – 8 week period. This is a compulsory component of the curriculum for the completion of the academic program. It is designed to provide exposure to organizational working, to develop an understanding of business realities, and to learn to apply theory to real life business situations. Since the summer internship is a vital component in the promotion of the student into the second year, they are also graded for this.
In the second year, the students have to opt any two of the following specializations because there is a system of dual specialization and in fourth semester has to opt one of the open specializations

In present business environment , managers must have vision, resourcefulness and proficiency to face the challenges and cultivate the opportunities. Keeping this in view, Faculty of Business Studies, trains and transforms the students with quality education, right attitude, managerial and entrepreneurial skills required in business world. Faculties here in MBA Department are actively involved in promoting and disseminating professional knowledge through teaching, research and training. Advance pedagogic tools are used that help our students to inculcate the traits of business acumen and become successful manager and responsible citizen.
